Moxa UPort 1110 USB to serial converter provides a reliable and easy way to add COM port to your computer. Moxa UPort 1110 adds one RS-232 port to your computer, which is the same type of COM port that is built into most PC motherboards. Simply install the drivers, connect the UPort to your computer, plug in your serial devices, and you’re ready to go. Programming is not required, and you do not need to worry about IRQs, configuring a board, power requirements, or connection schemes. 

Moxa Uport series is compatible with legacy and latest windows operating systems, macOS, Linux and Android platforms. Making it a very useful tool for engineers who need to connect different serial devices in the field or separate interface converters for devices without a standard COM port or DB9 connector. Do note that Uport 1110 only supports RS-232. TNS recommends Uport 1150 that is compatible with RS-232/422/485 serial.

 

Prevent Data Loss - Automatic Recovery Data Communication (ARDC) Feature

Moxa's Uport ARDC feature makes it easier to recover data transmission, even if the  cable is accidentally unplugged. This means that you do not need to worry about reconfiguring complex  settings to ensure smooth data  transmission. If the USB cable is accidentally unplugged, reconnect back to the same port. Moxa Uport 1110 will automatically reconnect with the host and continue your data transfer process. This eliminates the need for reconfiguration and lowers probability of data loss.

Easy Installation Process

Installation of Moxa Uport 1110 USB to RS232 Serial converter is a simple. First, install the driver; then, plug the converter into a USB port. When the Uport 1110 converter is plugged in, Windows will load the correct drivers for the converter and the new COM port (RS232). For best results, TNS recommend that users install the driver before plugging the converter into the USB port.

Advanced Functions: Fixed-base COM Mode

Moxa’s UPort 1100 series provides the unique Fixed-base COM function that allows users to set a specific beginning COM port number. Regardless of which UPort is plugged into the host, the COM port numbers for the 
UPort’s serial ports will be numbered sequentially—starting with the initial COM port number.

Moxa UPort 1110 uses male DB9 connectors. Pin assignments are shown in the following diagram. Do note that Uport 1110 only supports RS-232. TNS recommends Uport 1150 that is compatible with RS-232/422/485 serial.
