Tailored for Railway Applications
Moxa TAP-M310R Series wireless APs/clients are ruggedized IEEE 802.11ax wireless solutions for railway train-to-ground applications, including CBTC and CCTV communications. Designed for harsh environments TAP-M310R has a wide operating temperature from -40 to 75°C with M12 design waterproof connectors. Moxa TAP-M310R Series complies with industrial standards and railway approvals.
Protected by a dust-tight and waterproof IP67-rated housing, the TAP-M310R Series ensures reliable operations in harsh conditions. The TAP-M310R Series comes in four distinct configurations for onboard and wayside applications, including AC or DC power modules and Ethernet switch modules with support for multiple Ethernet/Turbo Chains for easier deployment. LEDs on front panel provide a quick overview of operational status and wireless settings.
AeroLink Protection
Moxa AeroLink Protection enables reliable train-to-ground communication with millisecond-fast client based wireless redundancy that switches links between the backup devices once the active device or operating frequency is down.
Wi-Fi Security
Moxa TAP-M310R Series supports client isolation functionality for AP-based operation modes to provide additional layer of security for connected client devices.
TAP-M310R Series supports Wi-Fi ACL filtering for both AP and client-based operation modes. Depending on the active operation mode, Wi-Fi ACL has two purposes. For AP-based operation modes, it blocks rogue client devices attempting to exhaust the Wi-Fi interface's resources. For client-based operation modes, it designates the list of authorized APs for the client to connect to.
TAP-M310R Series supports Storm Protection to protect the device against packet storms caused by wrong configurations or unexpected network device behavior.
