Network Topology
Modern systems require reliable network communication, secure access, real-time device control and accurate data.
Our demo combines network redundancy, secure connectivity and field-device communication. The EDS-G4012 and EDS-4008 form a Turbo Ring v2 network, while the EDS-G512E and EDR-G9010 extend redundancy through Turbo Chain.
The NPort 6150-G2, MGate MB3170-G2 and ioThinx 4510 are connected to the network for serial communication, power-meter data collection and digital or analogue I/O control. Network management software, MXview One provides a central view of the devices, connections, port status and redundancy roles, making the complete network easier to monitor and manage.

EDS-G4012
Turbo Ring v2 (Master)
Forms the main redundant network and helps maintain communication if one of the ring links is disconnected.

EDS-4008
Turbo Ring v2 (Partner Switch)
Works with the EDS-G4012 to complete the redundant ring and provide an alternative communication path.

EDR-G9010
Turbo Chain (Head)
Secure router that connects NPort, MGate and ioThinx, acts as the Turbo Chain Head, and secures communication using firewall, NAT and VPN.

Turbo Chain (Tail)
Acts as the Turbo Chain Tail, completing the chain and linking it to the wider redundant network for reliable communication.

Secure Serial to Ethernet Communication
Demonstrates serial loopback communication through its web console and PComm Terminal, allowing transmitted data to be tested over the network.

Secure Modbus Protocol Gateway
Retrieves serial Modbus readings from power meter and makes the information available to Ethernet-based monitoring systems.

ioThinx 4510
Modular Digital & Analogue I/O Control
Monitors and controls LEDs, a potentiometer and a button using the 45MR-2404 relay output, 45MR-3800 analogue input, 45MR-4420 analogue output and 45MR-1601 digital input modules.
